21 states have strict abortion bans.
An increase in infant mortality of 13% was documented in the state of Texas in 2022 (the year after the six week abortion ban went into effect).
There was a 62% increase in maternal mortality noted in abortion restricted states than in abortion access states in 2020 per a recent study published by NIH.
